Our Story

Our story starts one beautiful September day, when after a long break from school (and not knowing each other all that much before then) Jason Osborn, a very good looking boy in my ward, randomly gave ME a hug. I never thought from just one hug, I could fall in love with such an incredible person. We did so many things together, mostly because I thought he was in “like” with my roommate Renee. Strangely enough he asked me out on a date, which ended with a broken down car, a flat tire, a baby-sitting job for my roommates, a late movie,  and an incredible adventure. A week later we started dating, and by the end of the semester were sad to say our goodbyes. I graduated and was moving to Nampa Idaho, while Jason was staying in Rexburg to finish up another semester. What better way to continue our friendship by inviting him home for Christmas?! By that time we knew we were destined to be together forever!
January came, Jason dropped me off, and a long distance relationship began. Seeing each other every other week made us realize just how much we needed each other. Especially, with the busy hectic life of school, and student teaching things were tough.
My family came to visit Ballantyne’s Day weekend and I was thrilled to learn that Jason would be coming as well. What better way to spend a weekend than by being surrounded by people you love dearly. That weekend was the greatest surprise of my life, when after a delicious dinner and date with Jason ended in tears of joy and excitement. After our wonderful dinner we drove out to Julia Davis Park, where we danced under that stars near the water, and Jason got down on one knee to ask me to be his forever! We would never have to worry about traveling and schedules to see each other, it was a dream come true!

Five months later marked the happiest day of our lives! We were married in the Columbia River Washington Temple on June 5, 2010 at 9:00am. We were so afraid the weather would ruin our plans, but as we were driving to the temple hand in hand the sun was radiantly shinning. So many people were there with us to celebrate our special day! Even though we had to stand in 5 hours of photos in the hot sun, we were the happiest people on earth. To be promised each other for eternity, and to finally be able to see each other not just on weekends, but every day of the week whenever we wanted!!
