Boise

If you ask us what our favorite place was that we lived 100 years from now, I think we would still say Boise Idaho. It was wonderful to be by so much family, and it was wonderful to be able to do the thing I love… teach. We loved our apartment, the wonderful family ward we became a part of, and the lasting friendships that we will always remember and have. We always had something to do and lived down town in the best location. Every night was filled with fairs, dinner with friends, game parties at our place, family dinners, attending the temple, playing sports, training, cooking classes with friends, and getting know the most wonderful and amazing people yet to touch our lives. We were able to pretend we were parents, by watching kids’ weeks at a time. We were able to get to know the amazing extended family that we are blessed with. Boise was such a family centered area, and to this day we miss everything about it. We had some rough times while living there, including unemployment for a time, death of an awesome car, and getting use to the roles we played as husband and wife. Those 8 months brought us closer together, and blessings from the Lord never ceased.
My favorite memory was having Tain home from Afghanistan, and our whole family staying in our beautiful apartment. The girls ran an awesome 5 K that weekend, and our grandpa celebrated his 75th birthday. We were able to see family that we hadn’t seen since our wedding, and we were able to show them the fun amazing side of Boise. We did so many things together, and at night when I saw our living room floor covered in beds, I was the happiest and most blessed person to have such a wonderful husband and family to share all the memories with.
