May Surprises :)

I have decided I am a complete failure at keeping a blog. I almost always forget I have it, and get lovely reminders from my family that I haven't posted in a really long time. Dang I wish I was good at this, but hey here are some fun quick updates on the Osborn family.

May 3rd -- Jason graduated! He has been graduated since December really (already got his diploma and everything), but this time he was able to walk! It was a fun weekend in Logan where we got to see some of our awesome friends, drag our little newborn all over to see the world, locked our car keys in our trunk with no way to get in (our car is very special with no way to get into the trunk from the inside), and Carter also had a sleep over with his best little buddy Jace. It was fantastic!

2013 What a BIG year!
Carter's little buddy Jace!
May 12th -- My first mother's day! Jason and Carter pampered me, and got me a beautiful necklace with Carter's birthstone. We also went to Kneader's the day before to have the most amazing life changing french toast! It was all you can eat and that's exactly what we did... Ate until we couldn't take it anymore :)
look at our cute little family! I love my boys!

May 17th -- Threw my dad an awesome 50th birthday surprise party! It was a complete surprise too, because his birthday was April 19th, but I ruined it by having a baby and everyone coming to see me instead of my dad. It was so great to have my whole family there!
Carter meeting Grandpa for the first time!

May 18th -- Siehara graduated from hygiene school! She can officially become a dental hygienist ! We are all so very proud of her, and loved the BBQ she threw afterwards. It was freezing (that's what happens when you live in Utah), but the food was delicious and the company even better!

Way to go Siehara!!!
May 19th -- Carter's big day! We were able to bless him and have lots of family attend. I can't believe we didn't take any pictures, but we sure had fun afterwards once everyone left. We even caught one of our precious little boy's smiles on camera! It was a happy day, but a little sad for me, because everyone left town... including Jason.

Our family portrait! We really need professional ones! :)

Well today it is May 21st, and I'm just chillin' with the cutest little boy ever created, counting down the days until Jason gets back! I love being a mom! It has been driving me a little crazy not to be teaching anymore, but every little noise, smile, and attempt at laughing is totally worth it. I don't want to miss a thing with this little boy! Anyways... hopefully it won't be a whole other month before I post something again. Have a wonderful day and enjoy the pics of our cute little man!!

I'm a mommy!!!

Wow time has magically disappeared, and suddenly I find myself at home chillin with the sweetest little boy… and he’s mine! What a miracle to actually have him here on earth with us. I love him!

It is a pretty wild story as to how he got here...

It was April 9th and I started having major contractions. I thought oh wow, I think he is coming soon!!! I started cleaning the house like crazy, packed my hospital bag, we set up his bassinet and got everything ready at home. I thought for sure my water would break, we would go in that evening and have us a little boy before dinner the next day. Well… I finally went to bed, woke up feeling just fine, and went to work just like it was a normal day. I worked like crazy getting everything ready however, and had a fantastic day with my class thinking I would definitely make it to my last day on Friday. Just in case I told them if I wasn't there I’d be having my baby and that I love and will miss them.

Well… Jason worked late and so I stayed at school a little longer, said goodbye to my team, and headed home to make dinner. My sister called after I had been home for a little while, and just as I said the words “Hello” there was water all over the floor! My belly dropped and I suddenly felt my adrenaline kick in. After telling my sister, she laughed, thought I was joking, and I told her Jason wasn't home and I needed to call him right away. She took me seriously then, and so I got off the phone with her and called Jason right away. Luckily he had just left his office and was on his way home.

The rest of the night seemed like a whirl wind. Before Jason arrived at home to take me to the hospital, I packed the car (in between contractions, because they were getting way intense), my sister called to offer me a ride just in case Jason wasn't on his way home, and I even had a few minutes to talk to my mom. I honestly thought, oh I have 12 hours to get to the hospital, why is everyone freaking out telling me we need to get there? Well, Jason came home, we went to the hospital, and by that time my contractions were so intense I wasn't sure I could handle them. After lots of paperwork and questions, an epidural was put in (most amazing decision I made by the way) and Carter came out within 2 hours! The feeling I had once I saw him was incredible! I could not believe that little thing came out of me!!! I’m so thankful I have such a wonderful husband to go through that experience with me. He is incredible and I couldn't have done it without him.

We are home now, and doing so well. Carter is 2 weeks old already and almost sleeps through the night! We have had many laughs with this little boy including getting peed on and pooped on. I thought I would go crazy staying home all day without working, I kind of have, but just one little look at him and I’m so glad I can be home with him. He melts my heart. I can hardly wait for the adventures that await our little family in the future!

The crazy life of a pregnant teacher

Yup... we're still kickin. It has just been a couple of super crazy weeks with non-stop fun, craziness, and preparation for when our little one comes. The count down is on with only 5.5 weeks left!!! Here are some of the things that have been demanding our time.

The Jazz game
We went to a Jazz game! It was so much fun, even if we were in the last seats in the last row almost beyond the nose bleed section. It was a pretty sweet game going into over time, and yes my team won ha ha. Jason was cheering for the Jazz and I was all about the Celtics. Even though I'm not the biggest sports fan, going to games with Jason is always so fun!
The view from our seats :)

We learned what it's like to take an almost 9 month pregnant lady on a road trips... We only went to Idaho Falls (180 miles), but 3 hours in the car and we had to stop about 3 times just for me to pee. It was pretty awesome :) The reason we drove all the way there... my friend Taresa got married!!! The wedding was so much fun, and she looked absolutely beautiful! We were busy all day with the temple sealing in the morning, a ring ceremony afterward, and a super fun reception with delicious food! We really enjoyed ourselves, and it was wonderful to catch up with a good friend after a really long time.
Me with the lovely couple... yes I am very large...

One of my fave pictures from the reception
Having fun at the reception
After the wedding we were able to make a trip out to our old stomping grounds. Jason and I actually met in Rexburg, and so it was so fun to reminisce and have fun with my little sister who lives there now. We ended up visiting some friends who had a baby girl the day before (she was so cute!!!) and took Kira and Kyra out for dinner (yes it gets pretty fun hanging out with 2 girls with the same name). After our bellies were full, we even learned how to play a new card and then made the trek back to our hotel room to catch some much needed sleep. That was cut short however to rescue our little puppy bandit from the cold outside. We ended up getting home around 10 am the next day!

This last week has been totally crazy! Jason has been super busy at work hiring an incredible amount of people, and I have been freaking out with only having a few weeks left to get ready for a long term sub. Amazingly we some how fit some time to set up a swing in Carter's room. It's continuing to look more like we'll be having a baby.
Carter's swing is ready for him now :)
Setting up the swing

Getting to work at 7 am and leaving at 6 pm seems like it hasn't even helped. I didn't realize how hard it really is going to be to leave my cute little 3rd graders. I just hope that they are in good hands, and that I can be prepared enough to make sure that the sub is in good hands as well. Wish me luck, only 4 weeks left of teaching!

This Saturday was a much needed sister day. I got to spend time with my older sister Siehara and had a good time with her. She is incredible and planning pretty much the most amazing baby shower I have ever heard of too!! I love having sisters! They are pretty much the best things ever, especially when we are able to live so close to each other. So... if you happen to be in Roy UT in a couple of weeks, make sure to stop by!

Well, that's just a quick update. I'll try to be better with keeping you updated with things... until then, have a fantastic week!!

Precious Moments

Wow! It has been a couple of awesome weekends I must say. Jason and I have been so blessed and we just love getting ready to be parents. I am getting a little anxious for a little guy to get here. Only 8 weeks LEFT!!

Anyways, to tell you about our awesome weekends... Last weekend couldn't have been more perfect. It was amazing to wake up at no time in particular, to be in no place in particular, just enjoying our home and watching my crazy belly move with our active little boy. It was so cute to see Jason get so excited at every movement, and realize that this will be our very first of everything! Our very first little baby kicks, our very first little boy, our very first experience as parents and our very first with everything of the excitement of being parents (if that makes sense)! It is so important to enjoy every single little precious moment that we are given here on earth!

Our Saturday was wonderfully relaxing, and Jason did end up having to work for a little bit, but it was amazing! I actually went and got my hair all chopped off, cleaned like crazy, and had time for a nap. When Jason got home, we decided we needed some ice cream and family to share it with. Even though, it was snowing like crazy, was probably about 7pm when we left our house, we saw tons of accidents and almost got into one, it was so worth it! We went to see my sister and her husband and grabbed some Leatherby's (which is an amazing ice cream place!). We ended up having to crash at their place too (because of the bad roads), so we had more family time... I LOVED IT!

This weekend was pretty spectacular as well, but not quite as relaxing... It kind of actually started on Valentine's Day, the anniversary of making the best decision of our lives... to get married. It marked the day my handsome Jason got down on one knee and asked me to be his forever! So... of course we had to celebrate, and my amazing husband cooked me the most delicious romantic dinner of all time! I helped a little with the surprise of JAZZ tickets....

Friday we had a doctors appointment and got to enjoy seeing our little one again. We are so excited, because although I have not gained a single ounce since last time, Carter is 3 pounds 9 ounces!! He is getting so big and right on track! Our doctor didn't tell me I need to be eating more!! Ha ha. Right after, we had the wonderful surprise of our best friends coming to visit with their little girl. We made dinner together, played some games, and enjoyed having our wonderful friends with us. It was great. Only thing I would change... Jason having to work at 7am on Saturday.

Saturday Jason dropped me off at my sister's house at 6:30 am, where I crashed on the couch and had an entire day filled with sisterly awesomeness. Both of my sisters were here and we were hung out pretty much all day. Jason then kidnapped me for a dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, a baby registry and an adventure with message chairs. It was a pretty magical and very late night :) We were both not very happy when we woke up with sore throats and a really bad cough. That didn't stop us though, because right after church we headed down to Orem for another family dinner. We ate a delicious stew, played some games, and the boys went on a crazy adventure to the frozen Utah lake.

The amazing dinner Jason made for me!

Our dinner date at home on Valentine's Day!

Again we were home later than midnight, Jason had to work at 6 am, and I am stuck at home being sick with my little sister. Thank goodness for President's Day though... I don't think I could have survived at school today.... That has been our life. Now... time for a nap!! :)

Just a little something

Hey! So... I finally took the time to download our new software for our camera, and finally added some pictures!!! Life has been super busy for us, so I apologize for the zillions of posts that finally were published. I am totally did it to procrastinate what I need to do to get ready for tomorrow (lesson plans, grading, and all that jazz)... but oops it's time for bed. DARN! lol.

Well life is amazing, and we only have 10 weeks until our little one joins our family. I love being pregnant too... it is so awesome! Besides the getting up every hour to pee, the back aches, neck pains, getting kicked all the time (there is a dance party in my belly every night) and feeling extremely LARGE... pregnancy is amazing! I can not wait to be a mother! I think Jason is pretty excited too! :)

Enjoy these few pictures as you catch up on the life of the Osborn family...
My little baby bump... I can't believe he is only 2 lbs!!

Can you tell I'm pregnant?!

WOW, now I look very large...

life as we know it

Hey! Yes, we are alive... life has been its usual crazy self. Sorry for dumping all of these post on ya at once, but life as a teacher is a very crazy one. I feel like I never have time to stop and breath. Weekends are always for work and sometimes playing with friends and family. A little sad, but well... there you have it.

It's Martin Luther King DAY!! I must say that I am very excited. Mostly just to have the day off to relax. However, does a teacher ever get to relax? Of course not! I am surrounded by lesson materials, papers to grade, and report card comments to write. It would be very helpful if I had motivation to work on them right now or really do anything for that matter. All I really want to do is snuggle up by the fire with a movie and a nice long glorious nap. I'll probably never get around to that either, which is of course why I am online blabbing to the world about my wonderful complications.

This week has been filled with all kinds of craziness! It's funny that I can't really think of all the busy things I have had to do, but it's probably because pregnancy brain has taken over my life. I have to write things down as soon as I think of them or, they are completely gone. Never to reveal themselves again. One good thing we did do this week is date night! Our usual dinner and movie occurred  but ya know I think I would like to switch it up a bit next time. We need to go on some kind of adventure instead of worrying about how much this pregnant lady doesn't want to cook and how tired she is. If you have any amazing date ideas for us... we'd love to have them :) Unfortunately we have gotten a little rusty on the creative spectrum and have really lacked the energy or motivation.

You know... aside from feeling rather large (I have to keep telling myself each day, even while working out, don't worry Clarissa... big is beautiful!), not having energy ever, and having to pee all the time... being pregnant is actually quite nice.  I must say I have been a fan of my pregnancy, although the 2 am dance parties in my belly might be nice to get rid of.  I can't believe that we are going to have a little one here in 12 weeks! We bought a pack and play the other day, and I am just dying to put it up in Carter's room! I really am having a hard time waiting, but then again... going to the hospital and actually having him doesn't exactly sound like the biggest party of all time.

Jason and I had a wonderful weekend filled with friends, family, and a delicious turkey dinner. Can you believe that we actually cooked our very own turkey?! Well, I can't really take credit for it, because Jason is amazing and did the turkey cooking himself. I just helped with the easy stuff like potatoes, stuffing, corn, and pumpkin pie. The reason for all of this you ask? Simply just because we've had a turkey in our freezer since Thanksgiving. We decided to make it a dinner event and invite the family in Utah over. I am so glad we did! We had so much fun, and even though it took all day to get everything ready, the 15 minutes of eating was totally worth it! We also got a nice workout in afterwards with our Kinect. We ended up playing for probably a good 2 hours dishing it out on each other with boxing, track and field, volleyball, and soccer. I'm pretty sure we all slept good that night with full bellies and tired bodies. I can't wait to have another family dinner like that one :)

Well, enjoy reading about our lives these past 2 ish months. I will try to be better about keeping you updated... Until then, happy reading!

Jason is amazing... the end...

I LOVE WEEKENDS!

This weekend was an epic one! We had so much fun, it is hard to know what to do with ourselves now that everyone is gone. We were able to visit our friends (who we've missed like crazy) in Logan, drive back for an afternoon nap and a visit from my two sisters. We played lots of kinect games, covered my living room floor is beds and blankets, and attended our ward together. It was so much fun!

Friday we drove up to Logan to see our really good friends Tyana and Carlos. We love doing things with those guys, and have really missed having them close by. I was so excited to see their little girl too, who is getting so big! She even learned how to climb out of her crib this weekend. We had so much fun with them eating pizza, playing monopoly deal, and watching a very interesting movie. We ended up going to bed super late, but the awesome thing about it was we didn't have to leave. Ha ha, sleepovers are the best!

We chilled at their place in the morning for a little bit, but had to make it back to our messy house in preparation for some family fun. My little sister Kira came to pick up her car she left here over Christmas break, and my sister Siehara and her husband decided to join in the fun. When we got home from Logan however, we ended up taking a nap and not really doing too much with cleaning the house. Once my sister Kira got here we went maternity clothes shopping for myself and ran to the store for some much needed ingredients. We decided to have Hawaiian haystacks for dinner.

While I was cooking dinner and getting things ready for Siehara, we had a little dog break into our house. Siehara found him wandering in the street and when they pulled into our place and opened the door, he just jumped in their car. He was well groomed, but didn't have any tags and we didn't want to leave him in the freezing cold single digit weather, so we let him come in the house and play with Bandit. After calling animal control, the pound, and the police we finally got someone to respond. Jason ended up taking the cute little thing to a shelter for the night. I'm really thankful we didn't need to keep him over the weekend, he wasn't fixed and peed all over. Bandit ending up lifting his leg a couple of times when he left too, which was not cool.

The rest of the night we rented Wii games and Kinect games and played them all night. It was really fun, and I loved seeing my living room full of people again. It made me think of our apartment in Boise and how much fun we had with having the whole family stay at our place. I loved it.

Well, today we attended church which switched to 9:00 am. We didn't get much sleep, so our afternoon consisted of sleeping. Kira left with her car full of people, and then we had the missionaries take her place. They came over to eat with us and dinner actually ended up tasting pretty good. After dinner Siehara left, and the dread of Monday set in. I'm especially dreading it because I have nothing ready for my 3rd graders on Monday. Oh well, at least I had a great weekend!
